Coaching and Development for Organizations
Susan helps companies improve their organizational performance by bringing forth the skills and creativity of individual leaders and teams with diverse backgrounds. Her methods draw on years of consulting experience with some of the world’s largest corporations. Throughout her 36 year career with Andersen Consulting/Accenture, her interaction with successful business leaders allowed her to develop insights that help her recognize and inspire leadership potential within teams and individuals, particularly women.
The Opportunity
Today less than one percent of Fortune 500 companies have female CEOs, and executive leadership continues to be predominantly male. According to recent research by Catalyst, a nonprofit leadership and advisory organization concerned with women’s career advancement:
-
Women hold only 14.7 percent of all Fortune 500 board seats
-
The boards of one in nine Fortune 500 companies have no women
-
At the current rate, it could take another 70 years for women to hold half of Fortune 500 board seats and reach parity with men
Susan believes companies that develop and promote women leaders create a competitive advantage for their organization. It has been demonstrated that a diverse leadership team will address problems differently, create more impactful solutions and, most importantly, will achieve more sales and revenue to the organization.
The Rewards
Today’s workforce is over 50 percent women. Women make or influence major financial decisions for themselves and their families. Leadership teams that include women can relate to employees, partners and customers in new and different ways and deliver more value to the organization.
As one of the first women to ‘break the glass-ceiling’ Susan has earned her reputation as a business pioneer and leadership expert. If you are interested in learning more, please contact Susan.
