I read this article on WSJ.com and it's interesting to read about three CFOs as candidates for three high profile CEO positions, including Cathie Lesjak, the CFO at H-P (she's listed as "The Reticent"). Some would say such a position is her's for the taking, but "if she doesn't become a CEO it could be because she doesn't want to be one." I hope we see her up there in a few years though. I was happy to see five women in the CEO "watch list" for 2012. This list includes CEOs from Staples, H-P, Kodak, Avon and Gap.

The CFO position seems to provide great opportunities for future CEOs, including women. This is great news!
